Disneyland!!!!!

Presidents day weekend we used the tickets I won from the radio and went to Disneyland!!!! It was SUPER crowded. We ended up going a few days earlier than we had planned and it was packed. The kids said they had fun but we really missed out on a lot. The first day Chris only lasted til 3 pm and then had to go back to the hotel because of his back. The second day he lasted till about 6 pm. We tried to get to see as much as we could but ran out of time. I feel bad that we missed so much but the kids didn't really know what they missed so they are ok with it. I am currently trying to win tickets again (cross your fingers!!!) but if not we will save up and maybe try to go next year. We did get a pass for the second day and that really helped. It was a special needs pass and boy was it special!!! We really were able to get on any of the rides with very minimal wait. I will always do this pass from now on and kick myself for not doing it the first day.

While riding the autopia ride someone ahead of us bumped into another car and got stuck together. Apparently doing this cause the entire ride to close down!!! We had to get out and walk back to the entrance of the ride. The good thing was we received a free pass to the front of the line to get on any ride. We ended up giving it away since we had our pass already.

The haul!!! Erika saw someone have this little Minnie baby. She HAD to have one. While we were waling in the park I thought Chris was pushing her in the stroller, she had gotten out to walk by me he thought. Next thing I know she has this in her arms and we weren't near a store!!! The little turkey had taken it from a stand and just kept walking. We rushed it back and apologized. Of course she was screaming that she wanted it.

Earning points!!!

Wyatt was struggling to finish his writing in school and not being very helpful at home. We made up a point chart and he can earn/loose points. When he collects so many he can go to the store and pick a prize(within a certain amount). He has been really good at doing this. This is Chris and him working a tank kit we found at Hobby Lobby. Wyatt LOVES tanks. Of course Erika had to sit and tell them what to do. It so happened to be Valentines day to, so we went and got ice cream sundaes at McDonald's. Not very romantic but cheap. Besides we were saving our money for Disneyland!!!! Great picture of Chris right!!!

Young women's fundraiser

Our young women in our church were holding a Luau dinner and silent auction to help raise funds for their camp this summer. I signed up to bring an item to donate. I had seen something similar to this on Pinterest and wanted to try it. I think it turned out pretty good. It was bid on and taken home. I am thinking that I will have to make me one now!!!

Wyatt leading Sunrise Ceremony

The first week of February, Wyatt's class was chosen to lead the sunrise ceremony. This is when all of the school gathers outside and recites the pledge of allegiance, announcements, etc. They usually have a microphone but that day it wasn't working. he did really well on reading everything and being loud enough to be heard. Such a grown up boy!!

Chris's 38th Birthday!!!

On January 31st Chris turned 38. Man we are getting old. At least I can always say he will be older before me!!! We made a pistachio pudding dessert instead of a cake. We had just had a cake so we thought this might be good. It's super yummy!!! Of course I didn't have enough candles and I wasn't to sure if I wanted them dripping in the pudding anyways. The kids also have to take their turn at blowing the candles out. We usually have to light/relight at least 6 times!!! Anyway Happy Birthday!!!

Erika's Big Ouch

Erika was trying to balance on the rock edging in front of our house. She was holding a cookie and trying to walk/eat it. I looked away and the next thing I saw was her shoe flying, cookie flying, and her laying on the ground. She had fallen. When I picked her up her leg was scratched pretty good on the outside. She is into wearing skirts and I didn't see the inside of her leg because of the way I was holding her. Later that night after walking funny for about 3 hours she showed me her leg. I felt so bad!!! We cleaned it up and put the antiseptic spray on. It has a little deadening solution to it so it feels better right a way. We took a quick picture before we put a BIG band aid on it. She was still smiling!!! On a side note, now that it has been over a month since it happened, it ended up scarring her leg. It looks like she has a permanent bruise. Hopefully over time it will fade away!!.

BathTime!!!!

Wyatt wanted a rare bubble bath instead of a shower. He asked if he could have a "few" toys that weren't the bath toys. This is what I found when I checked on him. He keeps having these goofy smiles/looks when I take his picture but I couldn't resist. Can you say blackmail!!!

Super Citizen!!!

Wyatt received the Super Citizen award. He actually earned it during the month of December but he was sick on the day they gave out the awards. He earned this particular award last year too!! Of course Erika had to have her picture with the award because 'she is just like Wyatt'. We are really proud of our little guy. He is such a good helper at school. If only we could get him to help out at home as much!!!
