New Years Day 2012
Of course we had to go out shooting on new years day, well a day later since new years was a Sunday. Erika had fun shooting and wanted to keep doing it. They also had fun riding their jeep. Wyatt is almost getting to big for it and Erika is finally being brave enough to drive it. It was nice day and everyone enjoyed having fun.

New Years Eve 2011
We didn't have a very exciting New Years since we were all getting over being sick. We let the kids do some sparklers and they thought that was fun. They didn't stay up till midnight since we now have early church. Chris and I stayed up, watched the fireworks, commented that people are nuts wanting to be on the strip, shoulder to should with everyone, and then went to bed about 12:15. What a life!!!

Christmas 2011
We had a very nice Christmas. As usual there was WAY to much. The kids really received a good haul. So did I. Chris surprised me with a tablet!!! I loove it. Now I just have to figure out how to do everything on it. It was really nice to have my mom and brother there. Santa even left them some goodies. The kids had fun opening their presents and seeing almost everything that they wanted on their lists there. I don;t think it would be a Christmas picture if I didn't have my one of my cats in the picture. Every year they are there when I am trying to take a picture of the tree!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve 2011
We have the tradition of everyone getting new pajamas for Christmas morning. This year we watched the story of the birth of Jesus Christ that our church had produced. Then everyone opened their pajamas. Erika loved her Dora pjs. Wyatt were a little big but he loved having the army theme. I guess I didn't take any pictures of everyone else opening their's. AJ received a pair of shorts, Chris a Camo pj pant, Sabrina a black pj pant and grandma a set of silky pjs. It was a nice evening and the kids were very excited to have Santa come.

Sabrina's 33rd Birthday
I celebrated my 33rd birthday on December 23rd. Man I am getting old!!! I remember my mom when she was 33. Anyway, since my mom was there I decided to have her make me a monkey cake. I love monkeys and always had to have a cake like this when I was little ( and a little older). The kids thought it was great and lots of fun to help decorate it. It was nice to have my mom and brother here to also help celebrate. We didn't do anything special other than just spend time together.

Ethel M Garden lights
My mom and brother A.J. came for Christmas. We decided to take them to the Ethel M Garden lights. We had never been and it was absolutely wonderful!!! I was amazed at all the lights they had. I have been to Temple square in Utah and am always amazed but I think that this was great too. The kids had fun and of course Erika was Uncle A.J.'s best friend!!! I think we will make this a tradition every year. Maybe not so close to Christmas but for sure through the season. We were also freezing!!! A.J. just laughed at us. It was probably 35 degrees and where he is going to school that might be the high for the day. My poor kids must have thin blood.

Gingerbread house
We were invited by a friend/neighbor to come and make gingerbread houses. It was lots of fun. The best part was I had no clean up!! Ha Ha Ha!! She was kind enough to make the gingerbread and have all the supplies/goodies there for us. all we had to do was decorate. The kids had a lot of fun and can't wait to do this again.

Shark Reef Visit
During the summer our library had a reading program for the kids. If you read a certain amount you earned prizes. Wyatt earned a free ticket to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. We finally redeemed it (about a week before it expired). The kids love going there and seeing all the cool things. I just wish it wasn't so expensive and then we could go more often. They were also able to have a visit with Santa and Santa Jaws. Again I was late with the camera but they printed out pictures for us. I just haven't loaded them on the computer yet. It was definately a fun filled day.
